Hancocks Excelsior Soap

Hancock's Soap (first manufactured and advertised in New Zealand in 1872 by my great-great grandfather) is a handmade product using Australian extra-virgin olive oil and various amounts of palm, coconut and rice bran oils which add their enhancing qualities of hardness and lather. 'AS NATURAL AS CAN BE'

Considering that even water is a chemical I do not advertise that Hancock's products are chemical free! While it is my intention to produce and present each item as natural as possible, I choose to add a preservation system to all lotions, moisturisers and scrubs rather than risk unpleasant intruders spoiling that end product for you. The preservative of choice is paraben-free and urea-free.

The range contains various pure essential oils and additives including the wonderful French Argiletz and Australian sundried clays, unrefined Certified Organic Shea Butter, pure Turkish Rosa damascena and pure Jasmine sambac absolutes as well as some highly-underrated Australian grown native/exotic essential oils; Australian grown Avocado, Macadamia, Apricot and Sweet Almond oils; Turkish Rose wax and Jasmine sambac wax.

With so much emphasis on producing products 'AS NATURAL AS CAN BE' the Hancock's range reflects that purpose by using glass, metal, PET, natural cellophane, paper and cardboard suitable for recycling.

The business continues to evolve with the addition of moisturisers, lipbalms, a body scrub,
room sprays and container candles - doing my best to continue the Hancock tradition!
